So I just turned 21 and have yet to visit a bar. In addition to just turning 21, I just moved out from my parents place and got an apartment with a friend. I’ve heard the best and easiest place to pick up girls is at a bar… is this true?

I am spending 4 days at the beach over July Fourth weekend and I’m gonna be there with my cousin. I was planning picking up some girls there with him. Is the Pick-up-artist for real?
I live in the UK and i stumbled across this program called “The Pick up artist” (you may have heard of it) Basically, this dude “mystery” is supposed to be the worlds greatest at picking up chicks.
But i think the technique is ridiculous.
I kinda pride myself in being able to pick up women. Not that i do so religiously…
But if anyone has seen it? its ridiculous.
i.e. say things like “nice nails? are they real. oh… they’re nice anyway”
and “5 bucks before you hit on me”.
No intelligent woman would buy into it….(not the kind i talk to).
so is the “mystery method” in theory just a way to pick up semi-easy girls?
