Why is flirting with women essential in the work place?

I notice that women EXPECT some flirting from their male coworkers. honestly i dont like to flirt and i prefer to concentrate on my work and get out but it seems they become less friendly if i don’t conform to what they want and when i do, they are much nicer to me. many are married too! whats a way around this.

It is part of human nature to be wanted by the opposite sex even if you do not want a relationship.It can be a boost to the ego and improve productivity.It sometimes nice just to be wanted.
