why is it so hard to attract older women?

Become famous or have a lot of dough. Then you’ll really get some attention from ALL women, including older ones.

First of all, it’s not difficult to attract an older woman.
Secondly, do you honestly expect to start up a relationship with a girl you meet in a club? Not that it doesn’t happen, it’s just that most of the people there are only looking for a fling…so your odds are already down.
Try elsewhere. It doesn’t even matter where. Anywhere will be a step up from where you’re looking.

Guys around your age, stereotypically are interested more in casual relationships than serious ones…girls around your age may go either way, but in general tend to usually prefer something more serious than a fling but assume men are primarily out for sex.
A 21 yr old woman isn’t an “older woman”, she’s your age. Just keep meeting and getting to know people, and you’ll find those women that will see you’re not out for just a quick fling.
It’s not odd though for young adults to want to play the field, so it’s not odd that many assume that’s what a young adult would be doing.
