Mystery’s method uses a lot of hunting type analogies, which I do find mildly unsettling, but so far the teacher dudes seem to make sure to convey to the guys to be respectful of the girls they meet, and haven’t been jerky. It seems to be focused on meeting girls to date, not just to have sex with. If it were just about sex, they could say, “Find the drunkest girl in the room.” or “Ugly girls are always happy to get attention.” but they don’t, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.

i think its pretty interesting. i don’t find this the least bit offensively truthfully. but i am fascinated by how much thought some men put into to picking up women.

Okay, not long after the show began, it came out that Kosmo/Alvaro is an actor. I know that the method works cause I’ve seen it work first hand, but must say that the show is staged. First off, if you’re a shy guy, you don’t gather the strength to put those things into practice from one week to the next, it takes a lot of time to overcome it. Second, I think that Spoon, Fred, Scott, and Pradeep actually did have problems with getting women while the other 4 are just “acting” that way to make the show look better. Another way I know the show is staged is because if you look well during the field tests as soon as a contestant accomplishes the objective, they cut back to Mystery congratulating them in which it looks exactly like the moment they first met before going to the club so yeah.

I actually really like this show. I am a woman and I’m not really bothered by the terminology that Mystery uses. I find the psychology of it all very interesting and relate to it from my college days and thinking back about what I would do in those situations.
I think the show has been very good at striking a balance of the “pick up” and the creation of confidence in the contestants.
